The action of the series is set in the near future, where a race of aliens called Votani, came to Earth in search of a new home, after their solar system was destroyed. Despite lengthy negotiations with the Earth government, once here they discover that they are not well received. Instead of giving up and leaving, the aliens start a war with humanity, being determined to make Earth their new home.
